Brand Identity Agreement
This is our handshake on paper. Written in plain English — because that's how we do business.

Parties: Sonkofa Studio LLC (“Sonkofa”, “we”, “us”) and the business or individual named below (“Client”, “you”).
Effective date: the date you sign at the bottom.
1What you're hiring us to do
We'll research, design, and deliver a complete brand identity system for your business based on the Brand Spark tier. Scope includes: Logo suite, 3-color palette, 2 font pairings, 1-page mini brand guide (PDF). All work is crafted by human designers, augmented by our AI tooling where it accelerates exploration. Out-of-scope work is quoted separately.
2What it costs & how you pay
- Identity fee: $497 — you choose the payment path at checkout:
- Pay in 4 — 4 interest-free installments via Afterpay, Klarna, or Zip (availability depends on your card issuer).
- 50/50 Split — 50% at signing to unlock discovery, 50% at final handoff.
- Pay in Full — one-time payment, priority design slot, and a bonus asset of our choice on us.
- All invoices are sent through Stripe. Cards, ACH, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and available Pay-in-4 methods will show up on the secure checkout page.
- Late invoices accrue a 1.5% per month fee after 15 days past due. Final source files are released only after full payment clears.
3Timeline
We aim to deliver your brand system in 5–7 business days from the day we receive your first payment AND a completed brand discovery questionnaire (we'll send it after you sign). If you delay the questionnaire or feedback past 30 days, we may pause your project and invoice the completed work.
4What you give us
- A completed brand discovery questionnaire within 7 days of starting (we'll provide it).
- 3–5 brand references you admire (competitors, aspirational brands, mood boards).
- Timely feedback on logo concepts and brand system drafts (within 48 business hours of us sending).
- Final approval at each milestone (concept, refinement, delivery).
- Payment on the schedule above.
5What we give you
- Brand discovery summary and creative direction deck before we design pixel one.
- Logo suite, 3-color palette, 2 font pairings, 1-page mini brand guide (PDF)
- All final files in production-ready formats: SVG, PNG (transparent), PDF (print-ready), AI/Figma source.
- Full typography license clarification (we'll tell you which fonts are free vs. which need a commercial license).
- 2 rounds of revisions included. Additional revision rounds: $95 each.
- Source files delivered via secure cloud link. You keep the files forever.
- Reply to support requests within 1 business day.
6Who owns what
- You own the final approved logo(s), brand marks, color palette decisions, and typography pairings we deliver. The brand is yours, forever, in perpetuity, globally.
- We retain the right to showcase the finished brand in our portfolio and case studies (we won't share strategy docs, internal notes, or unreleased concepts).
- Rejected logo concepts, unused directions, and exploration files remain our property and may be reused in different contexts for other clients.
- Trademark registration is NOT included. We recommend filing for a trademark once your brand is finalized — we can refer you to an attorney or LegalZoom.
7Revision policy
A “revision round” = one consolidated feedback document covering all comments on the current deliverable. Each round triggers one iteration pass. Rounds are used to refine the existing direction, not to switch to an entirely new concept. If you want to abandon the approved direction and start over, that counts as a new project phase and will be quoted separately.
8What this plan does NOT include
- Trademark search, trademark filing, or legal IP review.
- Packaging design, signage, vehicle wraps, or apparel mockups (custom quote).
- Website design (see our Websites service) or video intros (see our Commercials service).
- Stock photography or commissioned photography (we'll direct the style, you source or shoot).
- Ongoing social content creation or content calendar management.
9If something goes wrong
We stand behind our work. If a final deliverable has a technical defect (wrong color profile, corrupted file, missing format) within 14 days of handoff, we fix it free. Creative second-thoughts after final approval are handled as a new revision round at $95.
10Limits of liability
We design brands. We don't guarantee specific business outcomes (market reception, customer loyalty, sales lift, awards) because those depend on your execution, product, pricing, and market factors outside our control. Our total liability is capped at the amount you've paid us for this engagement.
11Pausing or canceling the project
- You can pause the project at any time. Payments already made are non-refundable. Any completed work (discovery, concepts, refinements) is invoiced to date.
- Cancel before final delivery: any payments already made are non-refundable. Completed work beyond that will be invoiced at 50% of the remaining balance. (If you chose Pay-in-4, remaining installments still apply to the work completed.)
- After final handoff: the sale is closed. The brand is yours.
12Confidentiality
We don't share your business info, brand strategy, customer data, or internal notes with anyone. Ever. Period. If you need a formal NDA, we'll happily sign one.
13Governing law & disputes
This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida. If we ever disagree about something, we'll try to work it out directly first. If that fails, we'll go to mediation before anyone heads to court. Any legal action will be filed in Florida.
14The fine print
- This is the entire agreement. Verbal side-deals don't count. Changes must be in writing (email works).
- If any single clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of the agreement still applies.
- This agreement assigns if your business is sold — but you must give us written notice of the ownership change.
- This is not legal advice. It's a simple, fair working agreement between two parties.
